Project Planter

​

Project Planter began with the adoption of two abandoned street planters by a small group of local residents determined to bring colour, pride and positivity back into the community. What started as a simple clean-up and planting project quickly captured the attention of residents and began to grow.

​

Today, Project Planter has expanded into a thriving community initiative featuring four stunning public planters, the transformation and maintenance of the garden area at The Haven Community Centre, and a dedicated team of resident volunteers who work together to care for and improve local spaces.

Our planters are maintained sustainably by our dedicated volunteers, who work hard throughout the year to keep the displays looking their best. To support environmentally friendly practices, all of the planters are watered using collected rainwater.

More than just gardening, Project Planter is about community spirit, teamwork and creating a neighbourhood that people can feel proud of.

 

All of this contributes to making South Moor a stronger, safer place to call home.​​​​
